Reinterpreting history is not easy and it was with that in mind that Gonçalo Martinho from Nucleobra contacted Intergesso. He had a project for a palace: a magnificent ceiling with plaster niches that needed total restoration since it was very degraded.

The initial idea was to make a reinterpretation of the ceiling, with some of our standard elements. In order to elaborate the project’s concept, we prepared a full-scale projection.

Although we made several attempts, it was difficult to reach the desired goal. After all the tests, we decided to boost the existing work by creating replicas through the few elements that were left.

In two weeks, the ceiling that used to shine in the cloister of this imposing chamber had been completely rehabilitated, returning to its original splendour.
