At the 1904 Benfica Hotel, we had the opportunity to carry out an intervention of great technical rigor, dedicated to the preservation and architectural enhancement of the building. We were responsible for creating a new exterior cornice for the recently added floor, accurately reproducing all the formal and decorative elements of the original cornice. This process involved a detailed study of the existing proportions and profiles, ensuring a seamless integration between the new addition and the pre-existing heritage.
At the same time, we executed a complete replica of a missing pilaster, a key element for restoring the symmetrical reading and aesthetic coherence of the façade. The reproduction was carried out using specific molds developed by our team, ensuring fidelity to the original design and maintaining the historical character of the building.
This project reflects the essence of Intergesso’s work: technical rigor, artisanal precision, and deep respect for architectural heritage. Every detail was carefully considered to reinforce the unique identity of this FHL Hotels building, demonstrating how specialized interventions can restore harmony, authenticity, and sophistication to any architectural element.
